The Village of Curtiss is the home of
Curtiss Travel Plaza and Abbyland Banquet and Conference Center, Abbyland Pork
Pac, a Village Park, a Post Office, D and S Milling, Curtiss Metal Connection,
Loving Touch Day Care, the Curtiss Hotel and Bar, Erdmans’ Auto, Maki
Heating, Walters Repair (antique tractors), and the CurtissConununity Center
which is the historic school located in the heart of the Village.

Some of the events that take place
every year in the Village are: Ian/Feb - Snowmobile drag and Snow
Cross races, an Easter Egg Hunt held on Saturday, 2 weeks before Easter Sunday,
annual Curtiss Days held in the Curtiss Park Pavillion (tractor pulls, dance,
ball games, chicken dinner, parade. Concession stands)held on the first weekend
of August along with a Curtiss Quilt Club Show held in the
Our Snowmobile Club was founded in
1967 and grooms a well-established trail through the Village and outlaying
areas. They will be building a new Clubhouse in 2006 for special events. The
Curtiss Community Club founded in 1954 holds a monthly dinner meeting with
members from the community attending the first Thursday of the month and is
enjoyed by all. The meeting and dinner are held at the historic school.
