Clark County Programs & Services
Revolving Loan Fund Programs
The Clark County Economic Development Corporation secured its first grant to begin a Revolving Loan Fund program in 1992. The second RLF program began in 1998 which the CCEDC administers for Clark County. The programs are intended to provide a financial resource for individuals wanting to start or expand a small business. As the loans are repaid, the principal and a portion of the interest are deposited in an account to be relent to other businesses. Thus the name "revolving loan fund".
Small Business Assistance
To assist individuals wanting to start or expand a small business, the CCEDC has assembled a small business information packet. It provides helpful suggestions and brochures from other small business resources. On a bi-monthly basis, a small business development counselor schedules appointments here at the office with individuals wanting more in-depth one-on-one assistance for their project.
Technical Assistance
The corporation provides technical assistance to municipalities and area businesses in a number of different areas. This includes obtaining financing to build an industrial park, establishing a tax incremental financing district, comprehensive land use planning, securing investment capital to expand a business or purchase new equipment, redeveloping main streets, and marketing their community or business. As needed, additional resources such as the Department of Commerce will be contacted to provide further information.
County Focal Point
The Clark County Economic Development Corporation is the central contact point for individuals, organizations, businesses, and governmental units needing information on Clark County.
County Promotion
The CCEDC serves as the county's tourism center. It is the only organization within the county that promotes all of Clark County and its many recreational activities, events, and inviting communities. We do it through publication of a quarterly newsletter, a comprehensive web site, creation and distribution of tourism materials, and a toll free number.
County Outreach Efforts
In addition to our quarterly newsletter, monthly news articles and radio programs are two more means the corporation uses to educate the community on economic development related issues and inform them of new programs and services. Every attempt is made to make these outreach efforts valuable resources for anyone interested or involved in economic development.
